4. Press the temperature keys „TEMP" (35) to select the desired
temperature between 16 °C and 30 °C. The selected temperature
is shown on the display (21).
5. Press the fan speed key (23) to select the desired speed.
6. Press the sleep mode key „SLEEP" (33). The appropriate symbol
appears on the display. Press the key again to cancel the sleep
mode.
Adjusting the air discharge vent
Take hold of a slat of the air discharge vent (3) on the outer sides with
both hands and adjust the air discharge vent (3) to the desired posi-
tion (Fig. 6).

Programming the switching OFF time
1. Press the power key (26) to switch the air conditioner on.
2. Press the TIMER key (28) until the OFF symbol flashes.
3. Press the timer keys HOUR ( 30) „+" or „-„, until you have
selected the desired time.
4. Press the SET key ( 31) again to activate the timer.
Programming the switching ON time
1. Press the power key (26) to switch the air conditioner off.
2. Press the TIMER key (28) until the ON symbol flashes.
3. Press the timer keys HOUR (30) „+" or „-„, until you have selected
the desired time.
4. Press the SET key (31) to activate the timer.
Programming the switching ON and OFF times
1. Press the power key (26) to switch the air conditioner off.
2. Press the TIMER key (28) until the ON symbol flashes.

4. Press the TIMER key (28) again until the OFF symbol flashes.

If the SET key is not pressed within 15 seconds of entering the last
setting, the timer programming will be cancelled and the previous
settings will be reverted to. You must re-enter the new settings.
Cancelling the timer programming
To cancel the timer programming, press the CLEAR key (29).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE WITHOUT
THE REMOTE CONTROL
If the remote control does not function, or has a fault, please follow the
instructions below.
1. If the air conditioner is off, press the power key (19) on the
display panel (2) of the air conditioner. The air conditioner then
runs in the operating mode last used before the air conditioner
was switched off.
2. If the air conditioner is running, press the power key (19) on the
display panel (2) of the air conditioner to switch the air
conditioner off.
3. After a power cut the air conditioner will start automatically after
a time lapse of 3 minutes from the time power was restored.

CLEANING, CARE AND STORAGE

We recommend that you clean the air conditioner frequently.
So as not to interfere with the functioning of the air conditioner,
please follow the instructions for cleaning, care and storage.
Weekly cleaning
1. Before you start cleaning the air-conditioner, press the operating
key (26) to the OFF position and unplug the appliance.
2. To clean the air filter (5) open the air-intake vent (4) and detach
the air filter from its holder (Fig. 8). Clean the air filter carefully
with the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. If the air filter
is very soiled, clean it carefully in warm water (about 40oC) with
a household washing-up liquid. Rinse the air filter carefully and
allow it to dry completely. Do not dry it in the sun.
3. Put the air filter (5) back onto its holder and close the air-intake
vent (4).
4. Wipe all the outer surfaces of the air conditioner and the remote
control with a soft damp cloth. Do not use petroleum, paint-thinner
or other chemicals to clean the appliance.
5. Start using the air-conditioner again as described in the
„Instructions for use".
Care and Storage
1. If you do not wish to use the air-conditioner for a longer period
(a week or more), please clean the air-conditioner as described
under „Weekly cleaning".
2. Completely empty the water-tank of the indoor unit and empty the
water out of the outdoor unit as described under „Change of
location / Emptying the water / Water-tank control lamp".
3. Allow the air-conditioner and all its components to dry completely.
4. The air-conditioner must not be stored with a soiled air filter or as
long as there is any water in the indoor and outdoor units.
5. Take the batteries out of the remote control and store the remote
control in its storage niche (14).
6. Store the air-conditioner in a cool dry place and in an upright
position.
