8. Start with fl oor cleaning. Loosen the upright position by placing one foot on the clean-
ing head and tilting the steam cleaner. Move the cleaning head slowly back and forth
across the surface to be cleaned and push down the steam trigger as needed.
9. If you would like to wash out the fl oor cleaning cloth (13), move the On/Off switch (7)
on the main unit to the 0 position and pull the mains plug out of the socket. Wait a few
minutes so that the device, the cleaning head (11) and the fl oor cleaning cloth (13)
can cool off. Please note that when you stow the device, a wet area may form
under the cleaning head. Afterwards, you can wash out the fl oor cleaning cloth.
Then continue cleaning the fl oor.
10. If the water tank (6) is empty and no more steam is produced, set the On/Off switch
(7) of the main unit to the 0 position and pull the mains plug out of the socket. Refi ll
the water tank (see chapter "Filling the water tank"). Then continue cleaning the fl oor.
11. When you are fi nished cleaning, move the On/Off switch (7) on the main unit to the 0 po-
sition and pull the mains plug out of the socket. Let the device cool off completely. Once
the device has cooled off completely, take the main unit (9) out of the main unit frame (8)
and completely empty the water tank. Then put the main unit back in the frame.
12. Turn the hook for the cable winder (3) up and wind up the cable.
13. Take the fl oor cleaning cloth off of the cleaning head and wash it out (see chapter
"Cleaning, maintenance and storage").
14. Store the device upright in a cool and dry place. To stow the device, put it back in an
upright position (standing position). The joint on the cleaning head will engage and
the device will be locked in place.
15. Prior to using the device again, the water tank should always be checked for residual
water and be completely emptied if necessary.
