❐ Never point the steam directly at people, animals or plants. This can lead to serious
scalds.
❐ Attention! Scalding hazard! Never touch the cleaning head or one of the device's
adapters while in operation! Maintain a distance of at least 30 cm. Wear shoes when
cleaning fl oors.
❐ Only hold the device by the handle during operation. There is a scalding hazard!
❐ Never leave the device unattended when plugged in to the mains supply.
❐ The adapter/cleaning head used may still be very hot directly after use. For this rea-
son, wait a few minutes until it has cooled off completely before you remove an
adapter or the fl oor cleaning cloth.
❐ Always allow the device to cool off completely before adding or removing water, be-
fore cleaning the device and/or stowing it.
❐ Store the device so that it is not accessible to children or animals!
❐ Lay the cable such that there is no danger of tripping!
❐ Attention! Burn hazard! Improper use may result in injury, scalding, and electrical shock.
❐ Do not use the device if it is damaged.
❐ Take special care when cleaning stairs.
Risk of electric shock and fi re
❐ In the interest of your own safety, check the device, the mains cord, and the mains plug
for damages before each use. Only use the device when it is in a fully functional state.
❐ Never attempt to repair an electrical device or replace parts yourself. In the event of
defects, the device may no longer be used. Contact the nearest customer service
centre/qualifi ed professional or, in the event of damage, contact customer service.
❐ In the event of damage/malfunctions, turn off the device immediately.
❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts.
The socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The
mains voltage must correspond to the technical data of the device. Only use proper
extension cords, whose technical data correspond to those of the device.
❐ Never submerge the device, the mains cord or the mains plug in water or other liq-
uids! Make sure that the device, the cable or the plug are not at risk of falling in water
or of getting wet. If the device falls in water, immediately disconnect the power supply.
❐ Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐ The steam must not be directed towards mains cords or parts containing electrical
components (e.g. oven interiors, fridges, switches or lights, microwave ovens).
❐ Turn the device off and pull the mains plug out of the socket
– if you are not using the device,
– before removing/attaching the fl oor cloth,
– before attaching or removing an adapter,
– before fi lling/emptying the water tank,
– in a storm or
– before you clean/stow the device.
❐ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily fl ammable dust or toxic and explo-
sive vapours.
