For sensored brushless motors:
1. Connect ESC terminal "A" (typically
designated by a blue wire) to the motor's
terminal "A" (typically designated by a blue
wire).
2. Connect ESC terminal "B" (typically
designated by a yellow wire) to the motor's
terminal "B" (typically designated by a yellow
wire).
3. Connect ESC terminal "C" (typically
designated by an orange wire) to the motor's
terminal "C" (typically designated by an
orange wire).
4. Connect the small, 6-wire sensor harness
from the ESC to the motor.
For non-sensored brushless motors:
1. Connect ESC terminal "A" (typically
designated by a blue wire) to the motor's
terminal "A" (red wire on a Dynamite Fuze
non-sensored motor).
2. Connect ESC terminal "B" (typically
designated by a yellow wire) to the motor's
terminal "B" (blue wire on a Dynamite Fuze
non-sensored motor).
3. Connect ESC terminal "C" (typically
designated by an orange wire) to the motor's
terminal "C" (black wire on a Dynamite Fuze
non-sensored motor).
For brushed motors:
1. Connect ESC terminal "A" (typically
designated by a blue wire) to the motor's
positive terminal (typically designated by a
red wire).
2. Connect ESC terminal "C" (typically
designated by an orange wire) to the motor's
negative terminal (typically designated by a
black wire).
3. The ESC's "B" terminal or yellow wire is
not used in brushed motor applications.
4. Plug in the ESC receiver lead to CH2 on your
receiver.
5. Make sure the ESC's switch is OFF.
6. Plug a battery into the ESC.
Throttle/System Calibration
Procedure
1. For proper ESC operation, adjust transmitter
as follows:
A. Set HIGH ATV or EPA to maximum setting
[amount of throw at full throttle].
B. Set LOW ATV, EPA or ATL to maximum
setting [amount of throw at full brakes].
C. Set EXPONENTIAL to zero setting [throttle
channel linearity].
D. Set THROTTLE CHANNEL TRIM to middle
setting [adjusts neutral position/increases or
decreases coast brakes].
*Not all transmitters have these adjustments*
2. Turn on the transmitter.
3. While holding full throttle on your transmitter,
turn the ESC switch ON.
A. After a few seconds you'll hear 6 tones
created by the motor.
B. Release the throttle to the neutral position;
after a few seconds you'll hear 4 tones.
C. Apply full brake position; after a few
seconds you'll hear 4 tones.
D. Turn the ESC switch off.
E. T urn on the ESC switch. A few seconds later
the ESC will arm with 3 rising tones followed
by 4 short tones. You're ready to go!
CAUTION: Always disconnect
the battery from the ESC when you have
finished operating your vehicle. The
ESC's switch only controls the power to
