This chapter gives a description of how to clean the dehumidifier and a guidance to
fault finding:
A dirty filter will reduce the efficiency and cause dirt to deposit on the inside. Therefore
the filter should be cleaned at regular intervals. It can either be rinsed in lukewarm
soapy water or, if not very dirty, cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
Also the drip tray and the outlet must be cleaned so that the water can run off freely.
Unplug the mains electricity cable before opening the unit!
The illustration shows how to remove the cabinet parts:

Once a year the unit should be cleaned internally.
Follow this procedure to clean the dehumidifier:
Step
1
Remove filter from the backside of the dehumidifier. Clean the filter, see
"Cleaning the filter" above.
Replace the filter if it is damaged
2
Remove the handle by loosening the two upper screws holding it (one on
each side), see the illustrations above
3
Remove the back jacket (including the filter) by loosening one screw on each
side, see the illustrations above
4
Remove the front jacket by loosening one screw on each side, see the
illustrations above
5
Remove the water container and check it for dirt, especially the water stop
float! Clean the water container so that the water can run off freely
6
Vacuum clean the dehumidifier. Especially the condenser and the
evaporator must be vacuum cleaned with care.
If the dehumidifier is very dirty, spray water-based detergent onto the drip
tray, the evaporator coil, the fan and the condenser. Wash gently (be extra
careful with the slats). Do not flush directly on the control panel

Check that the outlet is not clogged up
