COMPUTER OPERATION
After inserting the batteries, all indicators in the dis-
play light up for approx. 2 seconds. The computer
then automatically switches to the setting mode for
date and time (see illustration).
Set the hours, minutes, year, month and day one after
the other using the arrow keys and ENTER.
You can also set an alarm (press „UP" to activate the alarm or press ENTER to disregard alarm
setting). The computer then switches to the mode selection where you can choose between
„MANUAL" (manual mode) or „RACE" (race mode). Select the desired mode with the arrow
keys and confirm with ENTER.
MANUAL mode
In manual mode, you can either start training directly (press START) or you can set targets for
specific functions. After selecting MANUAL, the training time (TIME) flashes. You can set a
target time using the arrow keys and ENTER or simply press ENTER to move to the next target
option. You can set either the time, distance, beat rate, calories or heart rate. However, a preset
is only possible for ONE function and not for several function values at the same time. Press
START to begin exercising. When the preset is complete or when you press STOP, the workout
ends and the computer displays an average value.
RACE mode
Select „RACE" with the arrow keys. „L9" appears and a
time of 4:00 minutes at „TIME/500m" is displayed (see
figure). Now use the arrow keys to select a race variation
(see following table) of L1... to L15.
Press ENTER to set a distance. Finally press START/STOP to start the race. The animation of the
race will be displayed on the screen - you and the computer opponent are shown. The first
racer who reaches the race target causes the program to stop. Press ENTER to switch between
different displays during the race. In the race program only a distance can be preset - the
time/500m is fixed as per your choice from L1 to L15:
At the end „PC WIN" (computer has won the race) or „USER WIN" (user has won) is displayed.
By pressing START you can run through the race again. RESET ends the race mode.
