B. Tips to reduce your energy consumption
•
Ensure that the unit is not located too close to a heat source. Place
the unit in a dry, well ventilated location away from direct sunlight.
•
You are always advised to pack up any food before storing it in the
freezer.
•
Hot food and drinks should be allowed to cool to room temperature
before being placed into the freezer.
•
Ensure that you maintain the minimum spacing between the various
products when storing them in the freezer to allow air to circulate. If
the freezer door is left open for an extended period, or if the door is
opened too often, the inside temperature of the freezer may increase
as a result. As such, the door must be closed immediately after use.
•
Ensure that the door seal is correctly positioned and ensure that the
freezer's ventilation holes are not obstructed. Do not allow frozen
foods to defrost at room temperature. You can defrost food by
placing them in the refrigerator to ensure progressive defrosting.
Ensure that you do not allow food to defrost when it is located directly
above other food products.
•
If the layer of ice becomes too thick, the freezer's performance may
be affected. When the thickness of the ice layer exceeds 5 mm, the
unit must be defrosted.
•
The layout of the various compartments and shelves is already fully
optimised.
