A. Preservation of foods according to their type
In a refrigerator, the temperature is not uniform (with the exception of
cold ventilated or dynamic appliances). Each type of food has an ideal
preservation temperature and therefore a particular place where it
should be stored.
It is important to put foods in the refrigerator according to their type:
POSITION
Fresh zone
On the centre rack
Cold zone
On the crisper
In the crisper
CAUTION:
•
Clean the refrigerator every two months to keep the inside and
outside clean.
•
Before cleaning, disconnect the refrigerator from the power supply.
Clean it with a neutral detergent, then wipe it. Carefully clean the
door joint, especially if it is dirty.
•
Not to be used for cleaning: hot water, grease remover, acidic or
basic detergent, scented soap, petrol, alcohol, organic solvents and
brushes.
•
To prevent corrosion, clean the appliance with a mild, non-oxidising
detergent, then rinse with water or any product suitable for a
refrigerator.
•
Check the condition of the plug and external cord.
•
If the refrigerator is not used for a prolonged period, disconnect it
from the power supply, removing any food, and clean it.
•
Leave the door ajar and put the refrigerator in a dry and ventilated
place.
