REPLACING THE Y STEPPER MOTOR -
Part number: Y STEPPER MOTOR (new model): 48012
Y STEPPER MOTOR (old model) : 45465
The M40 machines before serial number 64563‐10 have been fitted with Y stepper motor p/n: 45465. To
increase the speed movement in X axis, all M40 are now fitted with a new motor p/n: 48012, for easily
recognizing which kind of stepper motor is in the machine, we add an index XXXXX‐10 and more after
serial number. More comment in Technical bulletin E00908 on Gravograph Focus Web site
Les machines M40 avant le N° de série 64563‐10 ont été assemblées avec un moteurr X ref : 45465.
Pour améliorer la vitesse de déplacement en X, toutes les M40 sont maintenant assemblées avec un
nouveau moteur ref:48012. Pour facilement reconnaître quel type de moteur est dans la machine,
nous avons ajouter un index XXXXX‐10 (et plus) après le N° de série. Plus d'informations dans le

Dismantling operation ‐ Opération de démontage
Remove the Y lead screw see chapter M40-015
Retirer la vis Y du pont voir chapitre M40-015
Remove back metal sheet of the Y arm by 2
screws and move it to see the connectors.
Retirer la tôle arrière du pont par les 2 vis
puis la dégager pour visualiser les
connecteurs.
Disconnect the Y motor connector by lifting up the 2 locks on the white
connector.
Déconnecter le connecteur du moteur Y en soulevant légèrement les
verrous.
Loosen the 2 screws of the stepper motor holder.
Desserrer les 2 vis de la platine support moteur.
Push on the motor shaft in order to remove it
from the back of the Y Bridge.
Pousser sur l'axe du moteur et le sortir par
l'arrière du pont Y.
