6.6.3
Mowing in reverse
NOTE The mower mechanism is switched
off if just the reverse transmission pedal is
pressed.
1. Press the "Reverse mowing" button (02/6)
and, within 5 seconds, press the pedal for re-
verse driving (03/1).
WARNING! There is an accident risk
when reverse mowing! Pay attention to the area
behind you when mowing in reverse! Only mow
in reverse when it is necessary to do so!
6.6.4
Switching off the mower mechanism
WARNING! Danger due to spinning
blades! When the cutting blades are still spin-
ning, they can cause laceration injuries to hands
and feet! As a result, keep your hands and feet
away from the cutters!
1. Disengage the mower mechanism using the
toggle switch (02/5, position "0").
The mower mechanism can be switched off when
the tractor is at a standstill and when it is being
driven.
WARNING! Risk of injury due to objects
being thrown out! When crossing areas of grav-
el and crushed stone, objects can be drawn into
the running mower mechanism and then thrown
out.

Always switch off the mower mechanism if
you are driving over surfaces other than
lawns.
6.6.5
Mulching (12, 13)
For optimum mulching results, the grass should
be mowed on a regular basis (approx. 1 or 2
times per week). When doing so, cut 1/3 of the
grass height (e.g. if grass height is 6 cm, mow
2 cm). This will ensure that the mown grass will
be properly intermixed in the remaining grass.
The mulch kit is included in the scope of delivery:

Version 110 cm: The mulching insert is
mounted on the left side of the mower mech-
anism.
■
Version 95 cm: The mulching insert is sup-
plied.

Reconfiguring side discharge unit for
mulching mode (12)
WARNING! Hazards due to incomplete or
damaged mower mechanism protection. The
lawn tractor must only be operated if either the
discharge chute for the side-discharge or mulch-
ing insert for the mulching mode is mounted. If
not one of the two protective devices is mounted,
operation is prohibited because there is a danger
of intruding into the blade area of the mower
mechanism. A damaged protection device must
be replaced immediately by an original spare
part.
WARNING! Beware of danger when re-
configuring the mower mechanism protec-
tion. The lawn tractor must only be reconfigured
when the engine is switched off and the ignition
key removed.
To reconfigure from side discharge mode to
mulching mode, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the engine.
2. Remove the ignition key from and protect it
against unauthorised access.
3. Lift chute (12/1) for the side discharge (12/a).
4. Insert mulching insert (12/2) into mower
mechanism (12/b).
5. Lock the mulching insert in place with the re-
taining clip (12/3, 12/c).
6. Verify the correct positioning of the mulching
insert (12/2).
In case of versions with a cutting width of
110 cm (13)
Remove the mulching insert:
1. Loosen clamp (13/1) of the mulching inert
(13/2).
2. Pull the mulching insert out of the locking
mechanism (13/3).
6.6.6
Mowing interval
Please take into account that grass grows differ-
ently at different times. We recommend using a
shorter interval between mowing during early
spring. You can increase the mowing intervals as
the growth rate of the grass begins to decline
during the course of the year.
If you are unable to mow the grass for an extend-
ed period, you should initially select a higher cut-
ting height setting, then re-mow two days later
with a lower cutting height setting.
