The following can be adjusted to optimize the opération of the 1500 filter :
- the washing frequency : 1 to 30 days,
- the washing time : 00.00 h to 23.59 h,
- the washing period : 10 Io 34 minutes.
Washing process frequency and rinsing duration depend on water quality and the filter medium. For iron removal
using manganese sand, it is recommended that a washing process is completed at least once every 7 days.
PROGRAMMiNG
Before energizing the Filter 1500, to ensure correct operation, it is necessar to carry out the following :
- Carefully remove the front panel of the logic control unit. To di this, detach the two Philips head screws at
the back of it while holding the façade in place. Then tilt the façade forward, using the base as a hinge, in
order to clear the bottom studs. Then disconnect the solenoid connector under the relays. Set the façade
down gently on a flat surface with the electronic component side facing you.
- For the information given below, refer to the drawing of electronic board A.21.

Connect the 5-key programming keypad (arness with 6-contact pin) to the connector marked «JP3» at the
bottom right of the relays.
- The connect the backup battery using the black jumper located just to the left of the battery identified
«JP5». Pull it gently out of its housing and set it according to the following drawing showing the «connected
battery».
- Lastly, connect the power supply cord spplied with the equipment. On the end, it has a European connec-
tor and the other, a female lug on each wire. Run the power supply cod through the grommet and connect
the terminals at will to the electronic circuit in location «JP6» marked 220 V, just below the transformer.
- Then reassemble the façade. Connect the solenoid valve connector with a polarizer to its original location
located under the relays. Put the studs back in place, tilt the façade toward the rear and old it in place by
means of two Philips head screws at the back of the logic control unit.
The Filter 1500 is as easy to program as a radio alarm.
The procedure is :
- Connect it to the mains supply
- Select the folder mode : press about 5 seconds function and reset up to «F» appears press briedfly ad-
vance to confirm.
- Setling the clock : press «Function 2», until the «P10» The hour appears after release. The 4 figures are
changed with advance and «Semi-auto»
- Setting the washing frequency : press hold down the «function 2» key for 5 seconds. When you release
the «frequency in days» dot on the left of the display flashes and the display indicates the number of days
between two washing opérations.

Use the «advance 4» and «Semi-auto» buttons to change the frequency in the sarne way as when setting
the clock.
- Adjust the washing time : again press the «function 2» button. When you release the «washing lime»
spot flashes.
Use the «advance 4» and «Semi-auto» buttons to change the tirne at which washing starts in the same way
as when setting the clock.
- Washing period : again press the «function 2» button. When you release the «period in min» spot flashes.
The washing period (i.e. the total period) can be adjusted between 10 and 34 minutes, in increments of 2
minutes, using the «advance 4» and «Semi-auto» buttons.
Each washing operation consists of the following sequence :
- a wash, varying from 7 to 20 minutes,
- a pause of 10 second,
- a rinse varying from 2 to 15 minutes.
The length of the second wash and second rinse depend on the total period programmed as shown below

WASHiNG
During washing, the display alternately indicates the programmed period and the remaining time before
washing is completed.
FIRST FILL - IN
Close cocks A and B (and open by-pass cock C if necessary) and switch the electronic box on. Press the «Wash
1» button a few seconds until the display indicates the programmed washing period.
- Gradually open water inlet cock A
- Air and thon water will escape via the drain hole.
- when air no longer escapes, open cock A completely
- Allow the washing program to run
- When the washing program is completed (water stops flowing into the drain), open the treated water
outlet cock B and close by-pass clock C.
Your Filter 1500 is then operational.
