Emergency Manual Lowering
Use the Emergency Manual Lowering system only if the lowering procedures described
in "Raise or Lower the Carry Bar" (page 8) do not work. If you have any questions,
contact your local authorized Handicare dealer or your local Handicare business
development manager.
A proper safety ladder or stool may be required in order to remove the cover of the
device. Use extreme caution if this is required. If you have any questions, contact your
local Handicare dealer or your local Handicare business development manager.
DO NOT attempt to use the lift's functions while using manual lowering.
To perform Emergency Manual Lowering:
1.
Locate the 4 mm Allen key stored in the top cover.
2.
Locate the small circular clip on the side of the lift (Figure 7).
3.
Remove the clip to reveal the Allen key slot.
4.
Insert the Allen key into the slot as shown in Figure 8.
5.
Turn the Allen key clockwise to lower the lift strap.
DO NOT USE THE LIFT AFTER THE MANUAL LOWERING MECHANISM HAS BEEN USED.
The lift must be reset by a qualified lift technician after manual lowering. Contact your
local Handicare dealer or your local Handicare business development manager.
Clean and Disinfect the Lift System
Clean the Lift
To clean and disinfect the exterior of the lift:
1.
Dampen a cloth with isopropyl alcohol.
2.
Wipe down the entire exterior of the lift and carry bar.
Use only isopropyl alcohol to clean and disinfect the exterior of the Lift system. No
other chemicals or liquids should be used to clean and disinfect this lift!
Ensure that no liquids get inside the lift unit. This lift unit is not watertight or drip proof;
Failure to protect the lift from liquids may result in damage to the lift and result in
personal injury.
