Selecting Router Bits
This tool is designed for a wide variety of
routing applications that use 1/4" shank
bits. These include woodworking applica-
tions such as edge forming, grooving, and
sign making. This router is also ideal for
trimming laminates, phenolics, and other
materials that have been bonded to a sub-
strate typically with an overhang of the
substrate by about 1/8 in (3 mm). A wide
assortment of router bits with different pro-
files are available as accessories. Only use
good quality bits.
Note: Though the router bit may be installed
and removed from the palm router while it is
installed in a base, it is recommend that the
palm router is removed from the base before
installing a bit. See the corresponding sec-
tion for the selected base in use on how to
separate the palm router from the base.
Installing/Removing a Router Bit
