Border parameters in the Ceramill Mind CAD software
Pay attention to sufficient crown border
thicknesses Recommended values:
_ 1. Crown border thickness (Horizontal):
0.2 mm
_ 2. Angled: 0.3 mm
_ 3. Angle: 60°
_ 4. Height (Vertical): 0 mm
For tangential preparations, increase the
"crown border thickness" and "Angled"
parameters, e.g.:
_ 1. Crown border thickness (Horizontal): 0.5 - 0.3 mm
_ 2. Angled: 0.35 - 0.4 mm
Observe zirconium-oxide-efficient design forms and do not
create pointed edges.
Positioning in the CAM software
▷ Apply enough sufficiently thick
holding ridges (at least 3 ridges for
a single crown; thickness > 1.7 mm).
▷ Position holding ridges approx.
1 - 2 mm away from the crown mar-
gin, especially for long crown mar-
gins.
This provides support to the crown margin.
