4.4.Cleaning
Maintenance of the spreading machine must not be neglected, particularly during winter
usage.
After spreading salt and mixtures, the spreader must be cleaned as soon as possible after
use with water (do not use aggressive cleaning products or thinners).
Ensure that the water does not penetrate the bearings or the cavities.
If you use a high pressure cleaner make sure you only do so from a sufficient distance, 500
mm at least (damage to the paintwork!). Never direct the high pressure cleaner jet directly
onto bearings.
If a high pressure cleaner is used it is essential that hot water is not used.
If the machine is not used for a long period, it is recommended that organic oil (environ-
mentally friendly!) is sprayed on the sheet metal parts once these are dry. Similarly the agi-
tator and the mixer should be greased in position on the shaft.
