174. Turning on star wars sound effect selectively
Assemble the circuit. Turn on the switch
15
– you'll hear the star wars sound effect. Turn off the
switch. Remove the wire, which connects terminals E and F, replace it with the reed switch 13. Turn
on the switch 15. Every time you bring the magnet up close to the reed switch
13
– you'll hear completely different sounds.
175. Magnetically-activated bombing sound
Replace the switch
15
with the reed switch 13. Use the magnet to turn on the reed switch and
you'll hear an aerial bombing sound.
176. Sound catcher
Assemble the circuit as in the diagram. Instead of a wire connecting E-F, install the phototransis-
tor
132
and close the switch
15
(ON). When the phototransistor is lit, various sounds will play
and take it away
one in succession. But when you shield the phototransistor from the light, you can „catch" the
sound.

177. Drowsy sounds
This circuit only works when phototransistor 132, which serves as a switch, is turned on. Assem-
ble the circuit as shown in the illustration. Switch
15
is in the OFF position. Shield phototransis-
tor
132
from the light – the circuit won't work. Shine a bright light on the phototransistor. Turn
the switch ON and OFF by closing and opening it. Moisten a finger with water and touch touch
plate 12. Change the phototransistor's lighting in a smooth motion, shield the phototransistor
from the light and listen to how the sound changes.
178. Drowsy sounds 2
Replace touch plate
12
with button 14, and switch
15
with reed switch 13. Close the button
first, and then the reed switch, and gently shield the phototransistor from the light.
