Documents
Apart from documents on the tableau, the i-See also has the ability to read other types of
documents, like saved documents or PDF files, ePub or photos from a USB stick. In this
Documents menu item, it is possible to
select these.
This menu will display a list of all available
documents on the internal memory. Use
the arrow keys on the right side to scroll
through the list. Underneath the list are
buttons to filter the type of files by only
documents, photos, or both.
Pressing the file name will select and
open the document by the PLAY button at
the right.
USB stick
A USB icon is displayed at the bottom of the screen when a USB stick is connected to the USB
port on the left side of the device. Select this icon to switch to the USB storage instead of the
internal memory. Now the device displays a list of all available documents from the USB stick.
File menu
To delete, copy or rename files, keep the file name pressed until the file menu appears with the
following options:
• Delete: Delete the selected file. Deleted files can not be recovered
• Rename: Change the document's name with the on-screen keyboard
• Export: Copy the file to a USB stick. Only available when USB stick is connected. Copying a
scanned document from the i-See can only be displayed on other i-See devices. When you
want to use it on another device, use export to TXT.
• Import: Copy the selected file from the USB stick to the internal storage.
• Exit: Close the File menu and return to the Documents tab.
ePub
An ePub document can contain multimedia parts, like audio or video. Once these are available
in the document, they will be displayed with an icon. Make sure the Zone detection is turned on,
to select the multimedia items.
Save
The i-See has the ability to save a scanned document. This can be done after the
device has scanned and analysed a document for reading. Open the menu after this
and go to the Save item.
A dialogue box opens to enter the file name.
Press on the name to get the on-screen
keyboard to change the name.
Further, there are options to add extra pages
to the document. The capture screen appears
again to scan the next page. Press the button
on the right to add another page, or press
the checkmark on the left to go back to the
document saving dialogue.
When ready, press the checkmark in the
dialogue to save the document to the internal memory or press the stop button the cancel.
