With Preset 3, the device will always display the scanned documents in the digital view and start
immediately with reading. It is not possible to switch back to the image view. Ensure the Digital
View options are set to the desired layout: text block, line or word.
Also, the menu icon is hidden to prevent accidental modification of device settings. To get into
the menu, press in the bottom left corner for 8 seconds, and a pop-up will appear whether you
actually want to open the menu. Press OK to open the menu.

i-See Speech Menu
The menu of the i-See Speech is a place where the device can be configured, but it

also gives the ability to save documents and open saved documents. To open or close
the menu, press the menu icon in the screen's bottom left corner.
On the left side of the menu screen, different icons will appear for these different items.
Clicking on an icon will give you all the options or settings related to that category. Here we will
describe the items in more detail, from top to bottom.
User preferences
The user preferences give the options related to displaying the document.
View
Here you can specify whether the document should be displayed in image view or digital view.
This will be active immediately and displayed in this mode the next time a scan is made.
Digital options
The digital text can be displayed in 3 options: full text, a reading line or per word. Select the
preferred option, and the digital text will always be displayed in this method when digital text is
switched on.
Zone
The option is to mark the document's text into zones, which can be used to set the reading
order or have only small sections read.
When enabled, the zone colour of the text zones can be set to the preferred colour. And also,
the preferred colour can be set when a zone is selected. Press on the icon to step through the
colour options.
Word marker
The word marker indicates where the device is with reading. The current word is then marked.
Here you can select whether the word is to be framed, underlined or inverted.
When framed or underlined, you can specify which colour this should be. Press
the colour box to step through the colours.
The word marker can be turned off during reading by pressing and holding the right touch
button (B3) underneath the screen for 2 seconds.
Read-aloud preferences
The read-aloud preferences give the options regarding the reading voice, such as language,
reading speed or volume.
