DUAL CLUTCH DISASSEMBLY (02E)
Warning: Drain oil and disassemble the gearbox according to the instructions supplied by
the vehicle manufacturer.
-Place the gearbox on a suitable workbench and position it so that the clutch casing bell faces upwards.
- Remove the snap ring of the outer clutch cover by using either a screwdriver or a hook.
- Remove the outer clutch cover.
- Remove the snap ring of the inner clutch cover by using either a screwdriver or a hook
- Remove the inner dual clutch cover by using a screwdriver.
- Use pliers BETA 1458 to remove the safety ring of the main outer shaft..
- To remove the clutch, use 2 tools like BETA 1716A, achieving perfect alignment with the centre of the
clutch pack.
DUAL CLUTCH ASSEMBLY (02E)
Warning:closely adhere to the instructions provided by the car maker/manufacturer.
- Fit the new clutch onto the outer main shaft by using the 2 tools like BETA 1716A, checking that the
outer main shaft engages in the toothing of the clutch disc.
- Remove the upper safety ring of the clutch disc hub using a screwdriver or a hook.
- Remove the outer clutch cover.
- Install either long crosspiece (6) and the limit stop (8), fixing them to the clutch housing correctly
(see fig. 1).
- Install the snap ring of the main shaft.
- Measure first main shaft play, then clutch play, by using a dial indicator like BETA 1662/2 + 1662SP.
Warning: To properly measure main shaft and clutch play and choose the correct spacer,
always refer to the instructions supplied by the vehicle manufacturer/parent company.
- Use pliers BETA 1458 to remove the safety ring of the main outer shaft..
- Install the correct spacer.
- Install the snap ring of the main shaft.
- Install the outer clutch cover.
- Install the snap ring of the outer clutch cover.
