General remarks
METTLER TOLEDO AE balances can be equipped with a bidirectional
012 Data Output Option.
AE balances can transfer weighing results to a data receiver
(computer, terminal, etc.) via the two data interfaces (20 mA current
CL
loop and RS232C). At the same time, however, they can also
RS232C
receive and carry out instructions (full duplex operation). This makes
it possible for AE balances to be integrated into controlled weighing
systems.
The following can be connected to the current loop data interface:
– a METTLER TOLEDO CL instrument
– a METTLER TOLEDO printer (only with option 011)
– a non-METTLER TOLEDO instrument (computer, terminal,

RS232C data interface.
printer).
