U = unit block:
Transfer of [[SI]] and [[TA]] occur as special cases, terminated immediately by CR and LF.
Special operating conditions:
C.3 Instructions set for control of AE balances
Send value
By using this instruction, the controlling instrument can request single measuring values via the data interface. After receipt of
«S», the balance transmits the next stable weight result. The moment of transfer to the data receiver can be recognized by the
brief blinking of the balance display.
A data transfer triggered in this manner is identified in the data string by «S/», and differs from transfers triggered by pressing
a handkey or foot pedal, whereby two blanks «//» appear in the identification block.
If the balance cannot make a meaningful weighing result available, it transmits «SI» (I for invalid) at this point. This identification
occurs, for example, when the weighing pan is at overload.
Several results can be requested by transmitting the instruction «S» several times. In this situation, it is to be noted that no
more than one result is transmitted per display cycle and that instructions are not stored. For example, if an instruction has
not been carried out, it is written over by the next one to arrive. It is also cleared if a BREAK occurs in the data interface.
8
9 characters: (incl. decimal point and sign in front)
The result is transferred right justified. Leading zeros are suppressed. A plus sign (for positive
results) is also suppressed. The minus sign always appears immediately in front of the first
digit.
When DeltaDisplay is switched on, the last two places are blanked out when DeltaDisplay
responds.
0 to 5 characters:
This block indicates the unit that corresponds to the weight value, namely g.
The entire transfer block is terminated by CR and LF immediately after the last unit character.
