The smoke detector monitors an area of 60 m² with a ceiling height of 6
m at most. It has to be mounted on the ceiling in the middle of the room
as far as this is possible. A distance of at least 0.5 m has to be kept to all
furniture and fixtures (lamps, air conditioners etc.).
If the detector is mounted in an attic, at a roof angle of
- up to 20°, handle as with a horizontal roof
- of more than 20°, mount with a minimum distance of 0,5 m but not more
than 1 m from the apex of the roof.
Smoke detectors must not be used outdoors.
