7.4 Juicing citrus fruits
WARNING!
Ensure that there are no foreign objects
on the screen 9 or in the device when
operating it.
Do not apply excessive pressure to the
juicer cones 10+11/10.
The device is designed for a continuous
operating time of no more than 4 min-
utes in the citrus press mode. After this,
the device must remain switched off until
it has cooled down to room tempera-
ture.
Figure D:
1. Place the small beaker 13 or another
container under the outflow 2.
2. Open the drip stopper if necessary by
pressing down on the outflow 2.
3. Cut the citrus fruits in half.
4. Gently press the citrus fruit halves onto
the juicer cone 10+11/10 with the
cut surface facing downwards. The cit-
rus press attachment is thus pressed
downwards and the juicer cone starts
turning. The juice flows into the juice
container 8 and out through the out-
flow 2.
5. As soon as you stop pressing on the
juicer cone 10+11/10, the device
stops.
6. Close the drip stopper if necessary by
gently pressing the outflow 2 upwards.
7. Clean the device as soon as possible
after each use, so that the pulp does
not dry onto the surfaces.
8. Drink, take along
and store
Smoothies and freshly pressed juices are in-
tended for prompt consumption. The To-Go
lids 14 allow you to take the beakers along
or store them for a short while.
• Figure F: in order to drink the fresh
smoothie directly from the beaker 13/15,
screw a To-Go lid 14 onto the filled
beaker 13/15. Open the drinking clo-
sure 17 and drink from the opening for
drinking 16.
• After you have closed the drinking clo-
sure 17 the opening for drinking 16
and beaker are 13/15 tightly closed.
You can also enjoy your smoothie "to
go" when you are out and about, or
store it for a short while. In that case, is
best to put the smoothie in the refrigera-
tor.
9. Overheating
protection
The device has an overheating protection
system. If the device has been in operation
for too long thus causing the device to be-
come too hot, it automatically switches off.
• In this case, pull out the mains plug and
allow the device to cool.
• You may then use the device again.
