7.3.1
Folding up the chemical protective suit
NOTICE
i
i
Fold up the depressurised chemical protective suit
carefully.
Do not use force to bend the suit material, seams and
fastener system in the process. Avoid sharp bends.
1. Pull the flat bag over the hood.
2. Turn up the socks or
protective
boots
once.
Avoid sharp bends.
3. Place the sleeves into the
centre of the chest section.
Smooth out any creases.
4. Fold the hood and the
upper
section
of
chemical protective suit to
ensure that the visor lies
on the rolled up safety
boots. Smooth out any
creases. Make sure that
the visor does not get
deformed.
7.3.2
Packing the chemical protective suit in a CPS
storage and transportation bag
1. Place
the
chemical
protective suit in the CPS
storage and transportation
bag.
2. Fix the visor using the hook-
and-loop strap.
3. Place the protective boots
as illustrated.
4. Secure
the
chemical
protective suit below the
sleeves and on the boots
using straps.
5. Fold up the sleeves on the
shoulders and place on the
sides.
6. Close the CPS storage and
transportation bag.
7. Turn up the CPS storage
and transportation bag to
the middle on the tip of the
boots and directly under the
visor
or
on
the
neck,
respectively. Ensure that the visor is located between the
gloves.
8. Turn up the CPS storage and transportation bag in the
middle and close the strap buckles.

Disposal

8.1

Withdrawal from service

The chemical protective suit must be withdrawn from service in
the following situations:
It has been damaged and repair is not possible.
It was contaminated and cannot be decontaminated
anymore due to the characteristics of the hazardous
substance.
The material of the chemical protective suit has altered: it
shows embrittlement, swellings, colour changes, surface
maceration or similar.
In case of doubt please contact Dräger for more information.
8.2

Service life

The material properties of the chemical protective suit will be

maintained for at least 15 years
if not used and if stored under the recommended conditions,
with the recommended maintenance intervals. The service life
may be reduced despite correct storage and servicing if the
suit is used frequently.
8.3

Disposal instructions

The chemical protective suit must be disposed of in
17021963.eps
accordance with the applicable regulations.

The chemical protective suits can be disposed of
thermally or on waste dumps. The type of disposal
depends on the contamination.
