OPERATION
l Fully open the valve on the propane tank.
l Press the relief valve three (3) times.
l Place the RUN/STOP switch in the RUN position.
l Pull the choke knob out completely to the CHOKE position.
l Firmly grasp and pull the recoil handle slowly until you
feel increased resistance and pull one time rapidly.
l Push the choke knob in and pull the recoil handle slowly
until you feel increased resistance and pull one time
rapidly. Repeat this process until the engine starts.
NOTE: If the unit fails to start, repeat steps.
l After starting, allow the engine to run for several seconds
then move the choke lever to the fully OFF position.
SWITCHING FUEL SOURCES
DANGER
NOT add gasoline to the fuel tank or connect the LPG/
propane hose to the generator while the generator is
in operation. The fuel source can be switched while
the engine is running if a propane tank is connected to
the generator BEFORE operation.
GASOLINE TO PROPANE
IMPORTANT: Load capacity is reduced when running
on propane. Make sure the generator can supply enough
(running) and surge (starting) watts for the items you are
powering before switching to propane.
l Fully open the valve on the propane tank.
l Turn the fuel selector switch to propane operation.
PROPANE TO GASOLINE
l Turn the fuel selector switch to gasoline operation.
l Turn the propane tank valve to the fully closed position.
NOTE: When switching to propane operation the engine
may run rough for a few seconds while it purges gasoline
in the carburetor.
If the engine stops when switching fuel sources, disconnect
all loads then restart the unit on the fuel source of choice.
STOPPING THE GENERATOR
See Figure 16.
l Remove any connected loads from the control panel
receptacles.
l Allow the generator to run at "no load" to reduce and
stabilize engine and alternator temperatures.
l Put the engine run/stop switch in the STOP
stop the generator.
l Stop the flow of fuel.
• For gasoline, close the fuel valve.
• For propane, close the cylinder valve on the LP gas
cylinder.
l Disconnect the propane hose from the LP gas cylinder
and the generator.
