– Unscrew the nut -4-.
– Release the fastener -3- using a narrow screwdriver -1- and
remove the bracket -5- for control units from the fixtures -2-,
pulling in an upwards direction.
– Attach electric connectors -5...7- of the retrofit wiring har-
ness to the trailer detector control unit -J345- -3- and insert
into the bracket frame -1-, ensuring that the fastener engag-
es -2-.
Note
Position -4- remains vacant.
– Route the retrofit wiring harness -1- for the trailer detector
control unit -J345- -2- along the standard wiring harness (if
fitted) under the recess to the convenience system central
control unit -J393- -3-, fuse carrier -ST 1, ST 5- -4- and CAN
disconnector -5-; use cable ties to secure at the appropriate
point to prevent noise and abrasion.
