Familiarize yourself with the spot by talking to present riders and asking questions related to your practice.
Get closer to a local club. Study the area and learn about possible launch and landing zones. Familiarize
yourself with all applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning your waterways and recreation areas,
and comply with them. Never ride in shallow water or near the shore, pilings, breakwaters or jetties, rafts,
swimmers, boats, or other obstacles. Never attempt land or dock starts. Do not use man-made obstacles
such as rails or other structures submerged or on land.
