→ Recommandations
Before using this product, please read carefully the following information. The safety of each participant is
our priority, and we ask that you acknowledge the following points:
∙ Prior Training
Before practicing kitesurfing, ensure you have been trained by qualified instructors with certifications
recognized in your country. Knowledge of every safety rule is essential for your own protection and for
other people.
∙ Inherent Risks
Kitesurfing involves inherent risks, including potential injuries. By participating, you voluntarily accept these
risks and acknowledge that GONG SUP 1 SASU cannot be held responsible for any possible injuries,
losses, or damages.
∙ Equipment
Use only kitesurfing equipment that is in perfect working state and compliant with current safety standards.
Regularly check your equipment to ensure it is functional. Always inspect your equipment thoroughly and
never use any component with missing, damaged, or defective parts. Immediately replace or repair any
item showing signs of wear. Never put yourself in a situation where the failure of any component could
endanger you or a third party. Do not modify your equipment in any way. Always use appropriately sized
equipment depending on conditions and your ability.
∙ Accessories
Always wear a helmet and impact vest that meet the standards of your geographic area and coast guard
recommendation. Wear a wetsuit and protective booties depending on the air and water temperatures of
your spot. The risks of hypothermia are important. Use properly designed and manufactured accessories
(such as harnesses, leashes, helmets, etc.) from reputable suppliers.
∙ Weather Conditions
Be aware of weather conditions before practicing kitesurfing. Avoid kitesurfing into extreme, dangerous,
changing, or unsuitable conditions for your abilities. Always follow safety instructions in case of sudden
weather changes. Study both current weather conditions (including waves, tides, currents) and upcoming
weather forecasts before going kitesurfing. Sail only in side-onshore wind conditions.
∙ Personal Responsibility
Each participant is responsible for their own safety. We strongly recommend being a member of a
local kitesurfing federation or club and having a personal insurance specific to water sports, including
kitesurfing. Be aware of your skill level and never try maneuvers beyond your capabilities. Respect the other
kitesurfers around and any people on the spot.
∙ Compliance with Navigation and Priority Rules at Sea
In addition to the previously mentioned safety considerations, it is imperative to strictly adhere to navigation
and priority rules at sea when practicing kitesurfing. Familiarize yourself with local and international
maritime standards and be aware of designated kitesurfing areas. Respect the differents rights of way,
give priority to motorized vessels, and be mindful of other water users (humans and animals). Clear
communication and respectful behavior towards other navigators help prevent dangerous situations and
enhance overall safety in the marine environment.
