Recurrent Performance and Safety Testing
The following table highlights AP300/450's Essential Performance Parameters, with their subsequent
testing method and frequency. If your AP300/450 does not meet the following criteria, contact your
local Handicare authorized dealer for service.
Performance Criteria
The AP-300 / AP-450
should be capable of lifting
300lb (136kg) / 450 lb
(204 kg).
The AP300/450 will
operate as intended
throughout its service life,
provided all recommended
maintenance and usage
recommendations are
followed.
The AP300/450 should be
capable of working in
conjunction and
compatibility with
Handicare, Arjo,
Guldmann, Milkyway
Track, trollies and
accessories (Carry bars
and Slings).
The AP300/450 should
have "Free Fall" protection
system.
The AP300/450 should
have upper and lower
limits.
The AP300/450 strap
should have a minimum
safety factor of 6 in terms
of break load.
The AP300/450 should
have visual "Error" status
display.
The AP300/450 hand
control locking mechanism
used as connections
should be "Self-Locking".
