EXPLANATION [2]Check what configuration you are going to install. [3]Check that there are no obstacles on the first floor, close to the stairs. Check the stairs. The Slide Track must not be installed on a staircase where both sides of the staircase are open or where the staircase has open treads. Where the staircase only has a wall on one side, the Slide Track must always be installed on the wall side of the staircase.

EXPLANATION [6]Remove the Curly Cable Guide from the bottom of the rail and then re-fit it so that the Curly Cable will run along the wall side of the rail. [7]Apply approx. 10 mm grease in two places on the underside of the rail above the bottom foot, so that the grease is in line with the two pads on the bottom foot.

EXPLANATION [13]If necessary, the second foot can be secured in position using tape. [14]Fit the top splice bar loosely in the lower track{A}. Wind in one grub screw a small amount, to position the plate and prevent it from sliding down the track{B}. EXPLANATION [17]Alternately wind in the grub screws, to position the top rail part in the upper direction. [18]Install the remaining screws in the side splice bars. EXPLANATION Repeat the procedure of fig. 9 till 20 in case staircase lenght L > 4500 +S. A third rail part need to be installed. [21]Pass a measuring tape down inside the top rail until it is approx. 50 mm (2 inches) longer then the length of the top rail.

EXPLANATION [25]Slide the limit actuator into the rail. [26]Insert the end stop bar in the rail{A}. Align the end stop to the rail. Tighten the bolts securely {6 Nm/53 lb-in}{B}. EXPLANATION [29]Slide the charging strip into place along the entire rail {A}, and cut off any excess at the end {B}. Check that the strip is placed correctly along the entire rail {C}. [30]Check that the correct charger {EU, UK or USA} has been supplied. Connect the two charger wires to the charging strip (polarity is not important) {B}, by squeezing the connectors {A}.

EXPLANATION [36]Slide two spacers between the stair noses and the bottom of the rail {A}, to achieve a minimum 25 mm ( 1 inch clearance between the rail and the stairs. Next, position the rail in relation to the wall/stringer/obstacle{B}. The minimum allowable clearance from the wall or obstacle is 7.7 inch [37]Secure the feet in position using 1 screw per foot (first foot: wall side, second foot: stairs side, and so on).

EXPLANATION [43]Remove the template{A}. Firmly fasten the screws of the bracket{B}. [44] If it is necessary to remove the connectors from the power supply cable and re-strip the cable ends{A}. Guide the power supply cable through the grommet{B}. Fit both cables from the track (curly cable and power supply cable) into battery box, ensuring that the grommet is positioned in slot{C}.

EXPLANATION [47+48]Remove the power pack from the box and put in on the floor at the stop of the stairs. Fit a clamp onto the rail approx. 50 cm (20 inches) from the top of the rail. [49]Place the power pack on the rail (the batteries on the front of the power pack). Ensure that the motorised roll- ers engage properly with the rail and looms do not pinch between the rail and the unit.

EXPLANATION [1]The stroke of the Slide Track can be adjusted: +/- 7 mm up and +/- 35 mm down from the default setting. The maximum stroke is 395 mm. Caution: keep hands and fingers away from moving parts when setting and testing the stroke.

EXPLANATION [4]Test if the stroke of the Slide Track has been adjusted as desired. Let the rail stop just touching the floor, without activating the bottom safety edge. [5]To adjust the stroke upwards from nominal, loosen (do not remove) the lower bolt of the Slide Track mechanism.

EXPLANATION [1]The Slide Track is fitted with a manual override that allows the track to be moved in case of an emergency. This is positioned towards the bottom of the track{A}.
