6 Initial Setup and Start
1. Main screen. Current and daily yield.
This section contains:
Actual output power (kW)
Yield of the current day (kWh)
Total yield (kWh)
Current date and current time
Operating mode (#)
2. Inverter information. This section contains:
Device type and name of the inverter
Inverter serial number
IP Address
Serial number of the SMA Inverter Manager
Software version of the inverter
3. Actual values This section contains:
PV voltage and current
Phase-to-phase voltages
Phase currents
Grid frequency
6.2 Initial Setup via LCS-Tool
The inverter and the SMA inverter manager must be
commissioned via the local commissioning and
service tool (LCS-Tool). Commissioning is necessary
before the inverter starts feeding into the utility grid.
The LCS too enables the selection of predefned
country data sets for different utility grids.
Customer-specifc country data sets can be provided
by SMA and imported via the LCS-Tool (see
installation manual of the SMA Inverter Manager /
SMA Digital I/O Box / LCS-Tool).

6.3 Switching on the DC
Load-Break Switch
Switch on the DC load-break switch at the inverter
and, if available, at the PV array junction box.
6.4 Commissioning
The inverter starts automatically if sufcient solar
irradiation is available. Starting takes a few minutes.
During this period, the inverter performs a self-test.
Observe the specifed sequence for commissioning
for the respective device type.
STP 60-10 with one-piece enclosure lid or SHP
75-10 with two-piece enclosure lid
1. Close the inverter ((see Section 5.12, page 31)).
2. Restore the DC power supply in the distribution
board (DC-Combiner).
3. Switch on the AC miniature circuit breaker of all
three line conductors.
4. Turn the DC load-break switch of the inverter to
position I.
STP 60-10 with two-piece enclosure lid
1. Close the inverter ((see Section 5.12, page 31)).
2. Turn the DC load-break switch of the inverter to
position I.
3. Restore the DC power supply in the distribution
board (DC-Combiner).
4. Switch on the AC miniature circuit breaker of all
three line conductors.
