Turn off the appliance completely and let cool before servicing. Only a qualified service person should
service and repair this electric appliance.
It is necessary to hard-wire this appliance when
recessed into the wall. A qualified electrician must wire
the appliance directly to the household wiring.
This appliance must be electrically wired and grounded
in accordance with local codes or, in the absence
of local codes, with the latest edition of the National
Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70 in the United States or
the Canadian Electrical Code CSA C22.1 in Canada.
Before hard-wiring the appliance, remove the junction
box control cover by removing the fasteners as shown.
1. Remove the power cord by ensuring the appliance
is unplugged then locate and remove the screws

removed, Loosen the terminal screws too pull the
wires out of the terminal block.
2. Locate the desired 2 conductor or 3 conductor
wire cable to the bottom right side of the
enclosure for the hard-wiring installation based on
the desired 120 V or 240 V heat output capability.
3. With the appliance in the rough-in framing, insert
far enough into the enclosure to locate the supply
wires to the terminal block.
4. Insert the wires from your home through the junction
box cover plate with the strain relief (supplied) and
locate the wires to the specified terminal block
location based on desired voltage selection.
