or tilted you must:
• Stop the machine.
• Make sure that every moving component has come to a
standstill.
• Remove the spark plug cap or remove the safety key or
battery (on models with a push-button electric starter
control).
• Wear heavy work gloves.
• Hold the machine in the points offering a safe grip, taking
into account the weight and its division.
• Use an adequate number of people suitable to the weight
of the machine.
• Make sure that machine movements do not cause damage
or injuries.
• Fasten firmly to the means of transport using ropes or chains
to prevent it from tipping over causing damage and fuel leaks.
7.2. STORAGE
When the machine is to be stored away:
• Start the engine in the open air and run it idle until it comes to
a halt, so that it uses up all the fuel that is left in the carburettor.
• Clean the machine thoroughly.
• Check the integrity of the machine;
Store the machine (Fig. 19):
• In a dry place.
• Protected from inclement weather.
• In a place not accessible to children.
• Making sure that keys or tools used for maintenance are
removed.
NOTE The machine must be stored safely and securely to pre-
vent any accidental or unwanted contact with people, children or
animals.
