9. Connection

a) Connections of the Effect Lights
Only connect the device to a DMX device with a DMX-512 protocol.
You can operate a maximum of 32 devices in a DMX chain without overloading the controller.
The maximum total length of the DMX chain should not exceed 300 m.
Use of XLR microphone cables may cause interferences in the DMX signal transmission. In this
case, please use special DMX high-frequency cables.
• Connect the DMX OUT port (14) to the DMX input of the first DMX effect light.
• Connect the DMX output of the first DMX effect light to the DMX input of the subsequent device.
• Proceed as described above for all other DMX effect lights.
• Plug a 120 Ohm/0.25 W terminator into the DMX output of the last device of the DMX chain (between Pin2
and Pin3).
Pin assignment of the DMX connection: Pin1 = earth / Pin2 = (-) / Pin3 = (+).
Connection example for a DMX chain:
