16. Firmware Update

To get new functions or remove problems, you can update the device's firmware (integrated control soft-
ware).
It is recommended to always load the latest firmware onto the device to maintain maximum function.
Therefore, check on the Conrad product page of this device online whether new firmware is available in
the section „Downloads" now and then.
• Download the new firmware version from the Conrad product page of the device (section
„Downloads").
• Create a folder with the name „show-design2" in the root directory of a USB drive (main level of the USB
drive (please observe the precise spelling!).
• Unpack the new firmware into this folder on the USB drive.
• Connect your USB drive to the USB port (3).
• Switch off the DMX controller.
• Keep the REC/ENTER (4), BLACK OUT/DEL (6) and RUN MODE/SWAP (7) buttons pushed at the same time
and switch on the DMX controller again.
• After a few seconds, PRESS ANY KEY UPDATE FIRMWARE will appear in the display (12).
• Release the REC/ENTER (4), BLACK OUT/DEL (6) and RUN MODE/SWAP (7) again and push any key to
start the update.
• Once the new firmware has been read in, switch the DMX controller off and on again.
• Updating is now complete.
• Remove the USB drive from the USB port (3).
