5.4 Operation
The appliance is operated by means of the "Touch" keys on the appliance's glass control panel.
The user may carry out the following operations:
Switching ON/OFF (see Pic.3 - Sect.8)
Insert the plug (if present) in an individually interlocked protected electric socket. Place the induction
cooking suitable pan/wok/cookware containing the food to cook/heat on the cooking surface. Press
the key ON/OFF in the control panel: the display will show ON and the light over the ON/OFF key will
stay lit. Press once the MENU key to start the heating (in DT700 model press once the POWER key): the
appliance will start heating in "power" mode at a predefined power level of 2000W (the "heating" light
turns on, in DT700 model the "power" light turns on). Use the "+" and "-" keys to increase or decrease
the power level. To change the functioning mode (power or temperature), please check the following
section "Functioning mode selection". It is also possible to activate a "timer" function that stops the
heating process at the end of the time set by the user; for further details, please check the following
"Activation and adjustment of the timer function".
To stop the appliance, press the ON/OFF key (the display will show OFF and the light over the
ON/OFF key will blink), and disconnect the plug or turn off the mains disconnecting switch.
PLEASE NOTE: Before disconnecting the appliance from the mains, wait until the appliance's
cooling fans stops (approx. 3 minutes after the heating operation is stopped). This is required
to allow the internal electronic components to properly cold down and prevent any
overheating that could compromise the service life and the good functioning of the appliance.
Functioning mode selection
The appliance can work in two different modes: "power" or "temperature". Each pressing of the
MENU key makes the appliance pass from one functioning mode to the other (in DT700 model the
two functions are activated respectively by the POWER and TEMP keys).
When in "power" mode, the "heating" or the "power" light turns on and the display will show
the value of the currently set power level. To increase or decrease the heating power level, use
the "+" and "-" keys. The power level that can be selected are the following:
mod. RP350Pro, TT350 and TT350W (in Watt): 200 - 500 - 1000 - 1200 - 1800 - 2000 - 2400
- 2800 - 3200 - 3500.
mod. TT500 and TT500W (in Watt): 500 - 1000 - 1500 - 2000 - 2500 - 3000 - 3500 - 4000 -
4500 - 5000.
mod. DT700: P01(200W) - P02(500W) - P03(1000W) - P04(1200W) - P05(1800W),
P06(2000W) - P07(2400W) - P08(2800W) - P09(3200W) - P10(3500W).
When in "temperature" mode, the TEMP light turns on and the display will show the approx.
value (in Celsius degrees) of the temperature of the base od the pan/wok/cookware. To
increase or decrease the temperature, use the "+" and "-" keys. The temperature can be set (in
steps of 20°C) from a minimum of 60°C to a maximum of 240°C.
PLEASE NOTE: the temperature is detected by a probe in contact with the ceramic-glass cooking
surface in the internal part of the appliance; considering the dissipation factors of the materials
in contact and of the ceramic-glass surface, the detected temperature has to be considered
purely indicative and subject to a reasonable approximation.
