Position the appliance so that the plug is always accessible.
Do not use adapters or extensions.
Do not touch the appliance or the plug with wet hands.
5.2 Handling and positioning
Ensure that, from the point of view of the dimensions (see Tab.1 - Sect.9), the space provided for
the appliance allows its correct use and easy servicing as indicated in Section 6.
Remove the appliance from the packaging, taking care to follow the instructions in Section 4
(Environmental notes) with regard to the storage and disposal of the packaging materials.
Move the appliance taking care of not making it fall and not bumping on the ceramic-glass
cooking surface.
Position the appliance on a stable, flat, correctly leveled and heat resistant surface, with a
carrying capacity sufficient to support the appliance, the cookware and the presumed heavily
food or aliment that could be cooked.
Position the appliance on a work table at the right height to work comfortably without having
to assume an incorrect posture.
Do not place the appliance on a surface containing Iron or Steel.
Never place the appliance on an inflammable surface (e.g. tablecloths, etc.).
Do not position the appliance close to naked flames, electric cookers, ovens or other sources
of heat, such as, for example, places exposed to the sun's direct rays. The heat can damage the
surface of the appliance and adversely affect its operation.
Position the appliance so that each part of it is always at least 20 cm from walls, furniture and
other objects, in order to guarantee a good air circulation, optimum access to all parts of the
appliance and the space necessary for its operation.
The appliance is not designed to be flush-mounted in a counter, a cabinet, or in any other
furniture.
Do no drill holes into the appliance or attach objects to it.
Please take care that the air vents on the bottom and back of the appliance are always free of
dust or any other obstruction.
The appliance must no be used if it is out of order, damaged or has suffered impacts.
To avoid hazardous situations for the user, do not use accessories or spare parts which differ
from those recommended by the manufacturer. The appliance could be damaged or prove to
be a risk for the health and life of individuals.
5.3 Use
Clean the appliance before its first use (see Section 6 - Cleaning and servicing).
Insert the plug (if present) in an individually interlocked protected electric socket in compliance
with the local regulations.
CAUTION !
Do not rest the hands or any other body parts on the cooking surface of the appliance during the
operation or in the minutes following the operation. Even if the appliance's ceramic-glass surface is
not directly heated during the operation, the thermal transfer from the hot cookware may heat the
ceramic glass during the operation and in the minutes following the use.
