Secure the positioning plate (Fig. 1, No. 5) in the guide
arm (Fig. 1, No. 1) of the LinguSet unit using the
sure-grip screw.
After mounting the positioning plate on the guide arm of
the LinguSet, align the upper model in the model table
parallel to the horizontal plane. Ensure that the plane of
the arch (slot plane) is aligned parallel to the work surface
and to the occlusal plane. Also check the distance to the
gingival margin and incisal edge. The arch plane should
optimally provide a uniform distance between the gingi-
val margin and incisal edge for all the teeth.
Secure the laser positioner (see bottom P. 2) in the
guide arm (Fig. 1, No. 1) of the LinguSet unit using the
sure-grip screw.
After mounting the laser positioner on the guide arm of
the LinguSet, align the upper model in the model table so
that the laser beam projects the ideal position of the arch
plane on the lingual surfaces (see Fig. 9). Ensure that the
plane of the arch (slot plane) is aligned parallel to the work
surface and to the occlusal plane. Also check the distance
to the gingival margin and incisal edge. The arch plane
should optimally provide a uniform distance between the
gingival margin and incisal edge for all the teeth.
