MODULAR WRIST IMMOBILIZATION SPLINT*
Properties:
• Rigid support for the wrist.
• Possibility of immobilizing the wrist in 3 different positions.

Immo is supplied with a pair of reinforcements enabling immobilization
of the wrist in the extended position (radiocarpal extension).
It is possible to order a kit containing 2 pairs of reinforcements separately:
- Reinforcements immobilizing the wrist in the flexed position (radio
carpal flexion.
- Reinforcements immobilizing the wrist in the flexed and inclined
position (palmar flexion and cubital inclination).
• X-ray transparent, adjustable reinforcements.
• Splint length ensuring total immobilization.
• Optimum comfort due to a 3D knit.
Indications:
• The choice of reinforcements should be determined on the basis of the
prescription of the health professional supplying the device. Do not change the
reinforcements without first consulting your professional.
• In the event of a palmar injury, do not use the device in the extended wrist
position.
• In the event of an extension injury, do not use the flexed wrist positions.
Extended wrist position (radiocarpal extension):
• Sequelae of wrist or carpal injuries :
- Scaphoid pseudarthrosis.
- Dorsal triquetral avulsion.
- Carpal instability.
• Degenerative disease:
- Radiocarpal arthritis : SLAC and SNAC.
- Carpal boss.
- Synovial cyst of the wrist.
- Kienböch's aseptic necrosis of the semilunar bone.
• Inflammatory joint disease, including rheumatoid arthritis.
• Tendon diseases and tendon injuries:
- De Quervain's stenotic tenosynovitis.
- Crepitant tenosynovitis of the extensors.
Flexed wrist position (radiocarpal flexion):
• Tenosynovitis of the flexors: carpal tunnel syndrome that has not
been surgically corrected.
• Peri-scaphoid arthritis.
• Guyon's canal syndrome.
Flexed wrist (radiocarpal flexion) and cubital inclination position:
• Reduction of radial fracture and stabilization using
technique.
• Wrist fractures in the very elderly.
• After 3 weeks, gradual return to wrist extension.

To insert the reinforcements:
- Unfasten the Velcro at the base of the splint (drawing 1).
- Remove the reinforcements.
- Select the pair of reinforcements on the basis of the condition treated :

- Slip the splint inside the reinforcement cover, making sure that the pictogram is
visible (drawing 2).
Contraindication:
Do not apply the product in direct contact with broken skin.
Side effects:
No side effects are as yet known for correct use.
Fitting instructions:
Follow the prescription of the health professional indicating the desired wrist
immobilization position for the condition being treated.

positions once the reinforcements have been inserted:
- Unfasten the straps.
- Slip the hand into the splint.
- Fasten the straps, following the order in which the straps are numbered (1 point,
2 points, 3 points).
- In order to prevent problems due to constriction, be careful not to tighten the
straps excessively.
Precautions:
Follow the advice of the health professional who prescribed or supplied the
product.
Consult your health professional if discomfort occurs.
Store at room temperature, preferably in its original packaging.
For hygiene and performance reasons, do not re-use the product for another
patient.
Washing instructions:
• Remove metal stays before washing.
• See product label.
• Do not use detergents, fabric softeners or aggressive products (products
containing chlorine)
• Squeeze out excess water.
• Dry away from heat sources.
