Sterilisation
After cleaning/disinfection, pack the dismantled nebuliser in sterilisation pack-
aging (disposable sterilisation packaging, e.g., foil/paper sterilisation bags).
The sterilisation packaging must conform to DIN EN ISO 11607 and be suit-
able for steam sterilisation. Then sterilise the nebuliser using the following
sterilisation procedure:

Sterilisation temperature: 121°C (to be maintained for at least 20 min.) or
This procedure has been validated according to DIN EN ISO 17665 as well
as DGKH guidelines for the validation and routine monitoring of sterilisation
processes using damp heat for medical devices.
Storage
Keep the sterilised nebuliser in a dry, dust-free place protected from contam-
ination.
6.4.3
Care of the connection tubing
• If condensation is visible in the tubing, pull the tubing off the nebuliser after
treatment and switch on your PARI compressor.
• Leave the compressor running until any condensation in the tubing has
been removed by the airflow.
• Replace the connection tubing in the case of a change of patients or if it
becomes contaminated (part no. 041G4550, see Chapter 9).
