Safety Guidelines
Several safety measures must be taken to ensure the safety of the occupant and the
individuals who are near the Simulator. The following list is not exhaustive. It is the
responsibility of every individual to remain cautious in all actions undertaken.
The Simulator is an assessment tool and is not designed to be pushed over
long distance.
When transferring your client from their wheelchair to the Simulator, ensure
that wheel locks are engaged.
Never attempt to surmount a tall obstacle, changes in height will affect the
stability of the Simulator.
Never sit more than one person at a time in the Simulator.
Do not exceed the weight limit of the Simulator. Exceeding the weight limit
increases the risk of losing control of the Simulator, which could result in
serious injury to the user or others as well as damage to the Simulator chair.

Specifications section of this manual;
Never attach objects to the backrest, except those provided with the
Simulator.
The client must never attempt to tilt the Simulator without assistance.
The client must never use the footrest as a platform during a transfer or when
attempting to lift oneself.
Never use detachable or removable parts to lift the Simulator. Always use the
rigid parts of the frame when lifting.
Be careful not to pinch your fingers when installing a component or using a
removable part.
Always be aware of your environment. Taking a few moments to familiarize
yourself with your surroundings, before using the Simulator in a new
environment, will allow you to avoid obstacles and potential dangers.
Avoid exposure to excessive moisture. Always dry the Simulator if it gets wet
or when you have finished cleaning it;
Avoid exposing the Simulator to extreme temperatures to prevent the risk of
hypothermia or burns. The Simulator's surfaces can become frigid in cold
temperatures and extremely hot in high temperatures or if exposed to direct
sunlight.
