SECTION 3 : ADJUSTMENT
WARNING
Adjustments should be made by a dealer or a
competent mechanic.
WARNING
These adjustments should be made on a hard, flat,
and level surface.
3.1. Front Track Kit Adjustment
1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface.
2. The anti-rotation adjustments will be done by
measuring the distance between a carpenter square
edge to the center line of the wheel (see Figure 12).
3. Align the carpenter square to the center line of the
hubcap.
4. Loosen jam nut on the anti-rotation ball joint.
5. Turn the guiding axle using the notches and an
adjustable wrench to screw the ball joint in or out in

a way to adjust the anti-rotation length. Screwing the
ball joint in will reduce the distance between the edge
and the wheel center line. Screwing the ball joint out
will increase the distance between the edge and the
wheel center line. Use 5 in. (127mm) as initial set up.
6. Tighten the anti-rotation jam nut on the ball joint.
Adjustment verification :
After initial adjustment of the front and rear tracks,
ride the vehicle carefully a few minutes to have a
feeling of its behaviour.
The front tracks can be readjusted if required for your
personal type of ride.
Increasing the distance will have the effect of making
steering harder and very stable ride.
Reducing the distance will decrease steering effort
and can make machine feel "darty" or "twitchy" at
speed.
WARNING
On your initial ride, make sure that the steering wheel
isn't self-steering during braking or cornering. If it is
the case, it could suddenly move when you do not expect
and you could be ejected from the vehicle. Serious
injury or death may result. If your vehicle exhibits these
traits, repeat the steps to adjust track rotation.
