Edentulous Patient Positioning
1.
Insert the Special Bite B into the Normal Chinrest.
2.
Guide the patient to the equipment.
3.
Press the Column UP/DOWN Button on the control panel or CEPH unit to adjust
the Column's height for the patient. You can also use the Column UP/Down
switch provided as an option.
4.
Ask the patient to stand in the center of the equipment as outlined below:
•
Grab the handles with both hands
•
Stand erect and stretch the neck straight.
•
Have shoulders parallel.
•
Lean forward until the chest press against the equipment.
•
Put the chin on the chinrest
5.
Ask the patient to follow the instructions below until the imaging process ends:
•
Close the mouth
•
Place the tongue on the roof of the mouth.
•
Close the eyes.

Clean the chinrest and the bite with ethanol and wipe them
with a dry towel each time the patient leaves the equipment.
