CAUTION
Only use spare parts which are intended for the corresponding
purpose by the manufacturer of the drives (see identification plate) or
are permitted by hülsta. Only such parts guarantee the required level
of safety.

5. Maintenance

Regular visual checks of plug
connections and electrical
connections for damage.
Regular visual checks of
leads for damage.
Regular checks of functions
of end switches.
Maintenance note
The inside components of the drive do not require any maintenance.
6. Care and cleaning of components of electric drive
The drive of the hülsta motor-driven BOXSPRING unit is easy to clean.
Clean the drive with a dry cloth.
Ensure that you do not damage the drive connections during cleaning.
7. Taking care of your cover fabrics
Just like all textiles in daily use, furniture cover fabrics require regular
care since they are also subject to continuous contact with dust and
other forms of soiling. Generally speaking, one should not allow the
dirt to be come too excessive as this makes cleaning more difficult.
Correct care and cleaning retains the value of your BOXSPRING unit.
Normally dirt is more visible on light or brightly coloured surfaces than
on darker ones. Synthetic fibres are easier to look after than natural
ones.
Necessary advance check: first remove any dust before checking
the unit.

CAUTION
Never clean the drive in a washing plant or with a high
pressure cleaner and avoid any fluids penetrating.
Damage to the unit cannot be excluded.
CAUTION
Do not use any solvents such as petrol, alcohol or similar
fluids.
Test the upholstered cover for colour fastness or surface damage at
a spot not in full view or test using the enclosed sample by rubbing it
with a white, soft, clean cloth that has been steeped in a cleaning or
stain-removing agent. This check must also be carried out on natural
coloured fibres. Only assess the damage after the surface has dried.
Protect from direct sunlight! Your BOXSPRING unit should not stand
in direct sunlight because the effect of continuous rays changes and
bleaches colours. High-power neon or halogen light can also cause
colour alterations. Do not allow the air to become too dry. Natural
materials crack and split, synthetic covers tend to take on a higher
electro-static charge and become dirtier as a result.

Stain removing:
This is normally the job of a qualified upholstery cleaning company.
If you do want to try yourself, please note the point made under
"Necessary advance check" and then proceed as follows:
Stains in textile covers are best removed immediately after they have
been caused. Be careful however with covers made of wool, linen,
cotton and Viscose. Avoid soaking at all costs. Rub down moist
stains with an absorbent cloth or paper. Treat any remaining marks
with a diluted carpet or upholstery shampoo (see manufacturers'
instructions). Never apply cleaning agents directly on to the cover.
Apply the agent to a white cloth. Remove the stain with this moistened
cloth, rubbing inwards from the edges of the mark. To avoid leaving
a stained rim, always rub down the surface beyond the edge, too.
Rubbing can damage the surface of the material, so be careful! Dry
stains can be treated like the remains of moist stains.
If any insoluble stains should appear or remain, rub them off with a
white cloth moistened with a benzene cleaning solvent.
For stains of unknown origin: proceed first as for "water-soluble stains",
if this does not succeed, proceed as for "non-water-soluble stains".
After treating in accordance with the stains chart, rub down with a dry,
white cloth in pile direction or dry the cover and vacuum it. Only use
upholstery again after thorough drying at all times.
Change in the position of the pile
A more or less visible change in the position of the pile can sometimes
occur in normal use, or be caused by pressure and warmth, body and
air humidity and the type of underlying material or cover used (age
lustre). Depending on the direction of the light, velour or smooth fabrics
of Chenille in particular can create the impression of being "stained".
This age lustre is not a sign of loss of quality, experience shows that it
