However, this causes the according
receiver to lose the preset transmit-
ter indication and every transmitter
previously indicated on the receiver
must then be individually paired.
Important notice 2:
Should there be repeated false alerts
when using the preset transmitter
indication, this may hint at a neigh-
bouring Signolux installation causing
interference. In this case, the problem
can be solved by individually pai-
ring all transmitter and receiver units
within the setup (see Pairing and as-
signing to event icons).
Pairing and assigning to event
icons
The »Acoustic universal transmitter«
has to be registered with every
»signolux«-receiver, which is later
supposed to react to it. By doing so,
the type of signalization is also defined.
To register the transmitter, press and
hold the according receiver's function
key. The receiver's event symbols
light up in sequence.
Release the function key as soon as
the desired symbol is lit up.
Now press the function key of the
»Acoustic universal transmitter«.
Wait for approx. 20 seconds and
the test the setup by pressing the
transmitter's function key. The recei-
ver should now react, showing the
according symbol.
Up to 8 transmitters can be assigned
to a single symbol.
Installing the microphone cable
The »Acoustic universal transmitter«
is able to react to acoustic signals
(e.g. the ringing of a telephone or
doorbell) due to a connected micro-
phone. It then transmitts a radio sig-
nal to all assigned »signolux«-recei-
vers within reach.
Use the adhesive ring to stick the mi-
crophone housing onto the acoustic
output grill of your doorbell / telepho-
ne or intercom system.
To do this, pull off the backing foil from
the adhesive ring on the microphone.
Plug the microphone cable into
socket #1 on the underside of the
»Acoustic universal transmitter« .
To ensure an ideal functioning of the
transmitter, please set the sensitivi-
ty control #1 in such a way that the
transmitter securely reacts to the ac-
cording acoustic signal.
Method:
- Set the sensitivity control #1 to the
least sensitive (extreme left, turn
counter-clockwise).
- Trigger the sound source and gra-
dually adjust the sensitivity control
(turn clockwise) until the transmitter
reacts to the sound.
Please note: A sensitivity setting, ad-
justed too high, may result in false
alarms.
