as shown in picture A).
Remove rear tail plastic cover (two bolts from above and two nuts from below as shown in
pictures B and C).
Remove plastic over-tray.
Unplug rear light, number plate light and indicator connectors.
Remove original number plate bracket (four bolts from above as shown in picture D).
Remove the plastic cable tidy/cover from original number plate bracket (one bolt as shown in
picture E).
Remove original indicators from original number plate bracket (as shown in pictures F and G, two
allen bolts and four Phillips screws) (green plug=right-hand and black plug=left-hand).
Fit new rear lights, the light with no number plate LED's is fitted to upper holes in number plate
bracket when fitted to motorcycle. Connect the wires from each light to the same colour wires
from the other light and continue as below (use the heat shrink from kit to protect wires).
To connect light we suggest cutting and re-using the original wiring plug (the largest of the white
blocks) and reconnect using scotch connectors (blue plastic crimping blocks) or butt splice
connectors (red crimping tube). The wiring is as below.
Original---------New light---------Secondary or upper light (without LED for plate illumination)
Black -----------Black =Earth--------Black =Earth
Green/Yellow--------Red =Brake light--------Red =Brake light
Blue---------Yellow =Side and number plate light---------Yellow =Side and number plate light
Refit indicators as original.
Offer up and secure the number plate bracket, using four nuts and washers from below onto the
four original bolts from above, to do this first offer bracket into position, engage two of the nuts
and washers onto the two rear most bolts (as you sit on the bike) by a few threads only. This
allows the bracket to be angled for access. The other two nuts and washers are fitted from
underneath the rear sub-frame (as shown in picture H). When all nuts and washers are engaged
tighten evenly.
Reroute wires as original and connect (we suggest checking operation of all lights at this stage).
Using cable ties from new kit secure wires as original.
Refit plastic over-tray.
Refit rear tail plastic cover (two bolts from above and two nuts from below).
Refit grab handles (you will have to refit the four plastic push fit grommets).
Refit seat.
Refit licence plate.
IMPORTANT: IF FITTING A FULL-SIZE LICENCE PLATE AND PLACING IT FAR
DOWN ON THE LICENCE PLATE HANGER, THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE OF THE
LICENCE PLATE HITTING THE BACK WHEEL UNDER HEAVY LOAD AND OVER
LARGE BUMPS IN THE ROAD. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK FOR
THIS POSSIBILITY AND TAKE AVOIDING ACTION. FAILURE TO CHECK THIS
COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY.
Depending on local laws, attach enclosed red reflective tape in an appropriate location.
Please recheck the indicators and all lights before riding.
