MINIMUM MANTEL CLEARANCES

RISK OF FIRE, MAINTAIN ALL SPECIFIED AIR SPACE CLEARANCES TO COMBUSTIBLES. FAILURE
TO COMPLY WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE A FIRE OR CAUSE THE APPLIANCE TO
OVERHEAT. ENSURE ALL CLEARANCES (I.E. BACK, SIDE, TOP, VENT, MANTEL, FRONT, ETC.) ARE
WHEN USING PAINT OR LACQUER TO FINISH THE MANTEL, THE PAINT OR LACQUER MUST BE

5.4

PENINSULA INSTALLATION

5.4.1 PENINSULA VENTING

Refer to "VENTING" section. All venting must have a minimum clearance of 2" to combustible material on the
top and 1" to the sides and bottom.

5.4.2 PENINSULA FRAMING

It is best to frame your appliance after it is positioned and the vent
system is installed. Use 2x4's and frame to local building codes.
To install the appliance face fl ush with the fi nished wall, position the
framework to accommodate the thickness of the fi nished wall.
A = 22 1/8" minus fi nishing material thickness each side.
