Setting the anchors
Anchors are suitable under the following conditions:
– Installation by trained personnel under the supervision of the site
manager.
– As supplied by the manufacturer, without substitution of the
individual components.
– according to the preceding specifications, with suitable tools.
– before setting the anchor check the strength class of the concrete,
into which the anchor is to be setl.
– Perfect compression of the concrete, e.g. no cavities.
– Use of intact cartridges with valid date of expiry,

z Clean drill hole:
Completely remove water,
which is possibly in the drill
hole. Clean the drill hole by at
least 1x blowing/1x brushing/1x
blowing/1x brushing. Only use
only clean brushes with the
correct brush diameter.
z Check before introducing the
cartridge, whether the resin
flows similar to honey with a
lukewarm cartridge.
z Drive the anchor rod right down
to the drill hole base by rotating,
striking (hammer drill).
z The setting markings of the
anchor rod must the flush with
the edge of drill hole edge
and the annular gap must be
completely filled with mortar.
The temperature in the
anchorage base must be at
least +5°C and may not drop
below 5°C during curing of the
grout.
Observe the prescribed waiting
period until applying the load.
z Fasten add-on part after the
waiting period with a torque
wrench. Observe indicated
torque.

6.2 Box column embedded in concrete
– Thickness of the base plate h >= 200 mm
– Concrete quality ≥ C20/25 after EN 206:2000-12
– Reinforcement after drawing in item 12 at least for each Q188A
The following must be observed for a subsequently
manufactured recess:
– minimum 180/180 mm (chisel out)
– minimum D 200 mm (core hole drilling)
– roughened wall required
– Ensure interlocking with the steel box column.

7. mouNTING + oPERATIoN
Swivel jib crans - Assembly (fig. 2 + 3)
Assembly and disassembly by 2 persons.
z Before initial start-up, the pulley (129542) must be attached to the
mast (see also relocating of the pulley).
z Connect the rope winch to the winch mounting (129482). (Screws
M8, tightening torque 24 Nm).
z Connect the rope winch mounting to the mast with clamps. (4
screws M8, tightening torque 48 Nm). Select height according to
application (see also relocating of the rope winch).
z Make sure, that the rope winch and pulley are fastened to the same
side of the crane and that the rope does not rub against components.
z Insert the mast of the swivel jib crane in the box column. Ensure that
the bottom of the mast rests on the ball bearing in the box column.
z Adhere the type plate visibly on the mast after initial assembly. The
type plate is in the test book.

– The specifications for mounting the box column and speci-
fications for embedding the box columns in concrete can be
inferred from the drawings (item 12).
– The anchors selected by haacon do not replace having the
dimensioning examined by a stress analyst according to the
local operating conditions.
– All other fastenings (selection, dimensioning, design) are
the sole responsibility of the operator, and/or of the compa-
ny assigned by him.
After the initial assembly, still before start-up, the crane must
be examined by an expert (item 8) and the release confirmed in
the examination book.
Always wear protective gloves.
z Only dislocate the rope winch without any charge on it.
z Release the 4 clamping sleaves M10 to the clamps
z Dislocate the rope winch.
z If you have reached the required position, fix the clamping
screw with 48 Nm
Important:
The load rope may not rub on the rope winch.
z Thread the rope through the pulley and connect to the rope
winch.
