TROUBLESHOOTING
This device integrates a default management system.
A series of messages displayed on the control board allows for a fault and anomalies diagnosis.
ABNORMALITIES
The machine does not deliver any current
and the yellow pictogram signalling thermal
protection is on.
The indicator is on but the product does not
deliver any current.
Voltage error
Despite the filling the tank, the error message
is still on.
Unstable arc
The tungsten becomes oxidised and dull at the
end of the welding
The tungsten electrode melts
Water level fault
Despite the filling the tank, the error message
is still on.
Flow fault
Cooling unit fault
WARRANTY
The warranty covers faulty workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase (parts and labour).
The warranty does not cover:
• Transit damage.
• Normal wear of parts (eg. : cables, clamps, etc..).
• Damages due to misuse (power supply error, dropping of equipment, disassembling).
• Environment related failures (pollution, rust, dust).
In case of failure, return the unit to your distributor together with:
- The proof of purchase (receipt etc ...)
- A description of the fault reported
TIG 250 AC/DC
CAUSES
The thermal protection has switched on.
The earth clamp or the electrode holder is not
connected to the unit.
The product is protected against overvoltage.
The cooling liquid system is still not working
and the fan is not on.
Fault due to the tungsten electrode
Gas flow too high
Welding area.
Post gas fault.
Polarity error
This default is due to an insufficient amounf of
cooling liquid in the system.
The cooling unit is equipped with a water level
sensor to ensure that the product operates
normally
The cooling liquid system is still not working
and the fan is not on.
This default is due to a obstructed torch (in
its water circuit). The cooling unit is equipped
with a water level sensor to ensure that the
product operates normally
This occurs when the cooling unit is not detec-
ted anymore.
SOLUTIONS
Wait the end of the cooling cycle of about 5
min. The pictogram disappears.
Check the connections
An power surge is at the origin of this mes-
sage.
Check the fuse.
Use an electrode size which is more suitable to
the thickness of your metal / workpiece.
Use a tungsten electrode which is properly
handled / prepared.
Reduce the gas flow
Protect the welding area agaisnt draught.
Increase the post gas duration
Check and tighten every gas connection.
Check the flowmeter with an no load ignition.
Check that the earth is connected to the +
Fill up the tank to the indicated MAX level.
Check the fuse.
Switch off the product and check the electrical
connection of the cooling unit.
