Operation
Please follow the statutory provisions regarding noise
protection instructions that may differ in various locations.
Cold engine starting
Add an adequate amount of mixture for 2-stroke (see the
mixing ratio table) to the tank.
Add biodegradable oil for chains to the oil tank. Tighten the
oil cap properly.

Press the fuel pump (Primer, pic. J) 3-6 times.

Put On/Off to the "I" position (pic. K).

Now hold the appliance firmly or, to be more specific,
press it to the ground and start with the other hand by
controlled pulling the starter cable (pic. L + M).
Repeat the procedure until the appliance starts.
Caution! Make sure the starter cable does not
bounce back as this could lead to damage.

If the engine does not start, repeat steps 1-7. If the engine
fails to start even after several attempts, read the
Troubleshooting section.
Warm engine starting (the appliance has not been
stopped for more than 15-20 min)

If the engine fails to start even after 6 pulls, please
proceed as specified in the Cold engine starting section.
Switching the engine off
Emergency switch-off:
To stop the engine at once in case of emergency, put
On/Off to the "0" position (pic. K).
Standard switch-off:
Press the hand throttle (pic. N/1) and the release lever
(pic. N/2) and wait until the engine is running idle. Then put
On/Off to the "0" position (pic. K).

Working height adjustment
Caution! Appliance to be adjusted only when it is
switched off!
To adjust the required operating height, the appliance may
be used with or without the extension tube and achieve the
maximum working length of 2.7 m.
The operating length may be adjusted by releasing the
lock (pic. A/6+8).

Saw head angle setting
Caution! Appliance to be adjusted only when it is
switched off!
The saw head may be locked at 4 cutting angles to work
with the appliance as required.
Release the cutting head lock (pic. A./4) and put the
cutting head to the desired operating position and let it
snap in – fix the cutting head in the required position using
the lock (pic. A./4).
Training
Please read carefully the Operating Instructions and the
servicing instructions. Familiarise thoroughly with the
controls and proper using of the appliance. You must know
how the appliance works and how controls can quickly be
switched off.
Never let children work with the appliance. Never let an
adult person work with the appliance without proper
training.
Do not let any persons, especially small children and pets,
to the place of your work.
Be careful to prevent slipping or falling.
